Just for Moms

Being a parent in today’s world is not easy.

As they say, kids don’t come with instruction manuals. You have to figure out what works best for you and your child as you go along. Many a time it is a hit or a miss scenario and it can be enough to have you tearing at your hair.

Our kids are expected to be super kids and we, super parents. Even if we don’t want to be part of it, the competitive educational system does get to us. This means that as a parent you have to be on your toes all the time.

Most young parents, especially mothers, are fatigued. There seems to be so much to do and not time to get it all done. Very often there is also no one you can vent to; no one you can just talk to and share experiences in a safe space where you will not be judged.

For moms by moms

And that is why we have started “Just For Moms”, an initiative to help young moms deal with the demands of their various roles: as a mother, a wife, an individual among others.

We meet once a month on the 4th Saturdays for just two hours.

Every month there is an interactive discussion/sharing on topics related to parenting and personal wellbeing. We also have some fun and games so that you go back rejuvenated and refreshed. You know what they say about putting on your own oxygen mask first.

And Chai

And of course, there is Chai! So what do you think? Shall we meet over a cuppa chai to learn, share and have some fun?

The topic for this month is “Conscious Parenting” and the session will be conducted by Life Coach, Priyanka Arora.

This sounds like such a lovely initiative. Most young mothers are fatigued indeed! I don’t remember the last time I was relaxed… and I am not even a young mom…! Hoping there will be some more meets closer home that I can participate in
